Peces borrosos is a dance piece that acts as an artistic bridge between Tenerife and Taiwan, turning distance into connection and flow. It draws on the symbolism of Pisces (two fish intertwined, representing the infinite) and on interdependence («the fish helps the water and the water helps the fish»). The choreography mirrors this idea, with movement as a constant flow (a wave, a stroke) and bodies sliding like shoals that reveal a collective, secret order. The piece embraces vulnerability, empathy and dance’s constant metamorphosis, celebrating an aesthetic that values emptiness and the beauty that emerges from the blurred. It is an invitation to see how forms dissolve to reveal the collective pulse that unites us.

A co-production between the Canary Islands and Taiwan, developed by Carmen Fumero and the Taiwanese company Chang Dance Theatre. The work premiered in September 2025 in the Sala Sinfónica of the Auditorio de Tenerife. The cast includes Dácil González, winner of the 2019 Premio Nacional de Danza.

Carmen Fumero

Carmen Fumero, born in Tenerife and based in Madrid, is a dancer, choreographer and teacher. She holds a degree in Choreography and Performance from the Conservatorio Superior de Danza María de Ávila and also trained at the Teatro Victoria in Tenerife.

As a performer she has worked with creators and companies such as Daniel Abreu, Sharon Fridman, Antonio Ruz, La Intrusa and 10&10 Danza. Carmen Fumero’s career includes honours at the Certamen Coreográfico de Madrid, MASDANZA and the Stray Birds Dance Platform in Taiwan.

Alongside this, she develops her own work with Miguel Zomas and, since 2022, has maintained an ongoing collaboration with Dácil González. Her work has been presented in Spain and at festivals in Europe, the United States, Africa and Asia.
